VTI’s unique spherical microblasting process is used on carbide surfaces to assure proper tool preparation prior to coating. Our dry blasting process removes contaminants, grinding imperfections, stains, and excess cobalt binder. We use a superior polishing media of spherical, super-fine particles (more than 500 percent finer than liquid vapor blasting methods). The result is an ultra-smooth finish for improved lubricity, reduced stress and superior adhesion of any of our coatings for extended tool life.
