Press-Side® Gantry Loader—A trolley mounted device for loading and unloading heavy and/or cumbersome coating fixtures into the Press-Side 3000 Rapid Cycle Metalizer is now available from VTI. This new device eliminates all heavy lifting from the coating technician's job. Production throughout is also increased due to the quick-change load and unload design of the Gantry Loader.
Press-Side® Janus—The latest twist on the Press-Side 3000 features an enclosure extending off from the main module of the Press-Side 3000 which is filled with moisture controlled air. Inside the enclosure is an actuator that removes the door and fixture from the vacuum chamber and spins 180 degrees to locate a second door onto the vacuum chamber. The coating fixtures are presented through an opening in the enclosure to the coating technician for loading and unloading purposes. This newly designed addition to the Press-Side 3000 will reduce cycle time and is an ergonomically sound improvement to cell manufacturing concepts. Available on new Press-Side 3000s and as an upgrade to existing equipment.

Press Side Rapid Cycle Topcoat Systems—Remove environmentally damaging paint top-coating processes from your facility and reduce scrap with VTI’s Press Side Rapid Cycle Topcoat System. Apply HMDSO (hexamethyldisiloxane) coatings over metalized product to add a protective barrier from oxidation and minor scratching. Cell manufacturing for forward lighting applications allows you to process parts directly after metalizing.

What’s New in Hard Coatings
CemeCon CC800™— VTI is pleased to announce that an additional CC800 sputtering system from CemeCon has been added to our coating center. This coating system will allow us to consistently meet the rapid turnaround requirements of our customers. This additional system will give the required flexibility to produce a wider variety of hard coatings for cutting tools over a shorter period of time.
ALOX™—A new addition to VTI recently released a new addition to our wide selection of coatings for cutting tools. ALOX, specifically designed for cutting tasks with large chip cross-sections, is now available as one of our standard coatings on cutting tools. For "rough work" applications such as turning, rough milling, drilling, and interrupted cutting, ask for ALOX.
CatArc® Coatings—Two new low-temperature CatArc coatings are now available from VTI. CrN and ZrN have already outperformed other competitive coatings.
