VTI’s patented cathodic arc process has been providing hard, wear resistant coatings to many markets since 1986. By redefining the core process of cathodic arc deposition, a method to reliably apply titanium nitride at low processing temperatures was discovered. This process has allowed VTI to supply customers who have non-traditional coating applications with titanium nitride coatings, including injection molds and inserts, electronic components, and carbide inserted cutting tools.
